1. Acceptance
By browsing the site, voting or joining the list, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. The processing of your personal data does not depend on this acceptance: it is described in the privacy policy, and the list only receives your data with the consent you give in the form itself. The terms apply to the public site at agavus.io. The console account, during the pilot, follows the separate instrument in section 3, and who processes the data, and where, is in section 4 of the privacy policy.
2. What the site is
Agavus is a workspace in development for preparing defences in family, criminal and domestic violence cases under the Lei Maria da Penha, with a first focus on the Federal District court (TJDFT). The site describes planned capabilities. None of them is certified as implemented, and the dossier structure shown is a proposal, not a real case.
The site has no active integration with the TJDFT or any other court, gives no legal advice and promises no outcome in any proceeding. Responsibility for the strategy and the filings in a case lies with the lawyer who conducts it.
Agavus is a technology company: it gives no legal service, chooses or recommends no lawyer, distributes no cases, sells no referrals and takes no share of fees. Whoever serves a person looking for a lawyer is a partner firm, which decides whether it can take them on and contracts with them directly.
3. The list and the pilot
Joining the list is free and does not guarantee a place in the pilot. In return for signing up, you get an e-mail when there is a version to try and, if you accept, an invitation to a 20-minute conversation. There is no newsletter.
If you are invited to the pilot, your participation will be agreed in a separate agreement before any file is processed: scope, price, confidentiality, who may access the data, how long it is kept and how it is deleted. The feature vote guides interviews; it is not a commitment to a product roadmap.
Asking for the client notice is free and does not guarantee that you will be taken on. You get an e-mail when a partner firm opens its doors in your state; today none is confirmed. The notice is not an emergency service: if you are in danger, call 190 or 180.
Joining the lawyer network list is free and does not guarantee cases. You get an e-mail when a partner firm opens its network of collaborators; it is the firm that decides whether and how it invites lawyers, under its own rules and the OAB's. The list is private and never becomes a directory.
4. What you agree to do
- 01Give an e-mail address of your own and a genuine OAB number, yours or that of the firm you represent.
- 02Send no documents, case numbers, names of parties, case accounts or any personal data of a client or a third party through the site's forms.
- 03Use no scripts or automation to submit forms. Each address accepts up to 10 submissions per minute.
- 04Do not try to access, alter or delete data that is not yours, nor interfere with how the site works.
- 05Do not reproduce the site's content beyond quotation with credit and a link.
A submission that breaks the second rule is deleted as soon as it is identified. It goes into no dossier, training or public material.
5. Content and brand
The texts, the proposed dossier structure and the Agavus name belong to Agavus. You may read, quote with credit and share links. Nothing here grants a licence to the product, which will have its own terms when it exists.
6. Availability and changes
The site may change, become unavailable or be withdrawn without notice. The capabilities described, the order in which they will be built and the existence of the pilot may change according to what validation shows. Joining the list does not oblige Agavus to launch the product.
7. Warranties and liability
The site is provided as is. To the extent Brazilian law allows, Agavus is not liable for decisions made on the basis of the site's content or for its unavailability. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that the law does not allow to be excluded.
8. Privacy
The data the site collects, the legal basis for each item, the retention periods and your rights under the LGPD are in the privacy policy, a document separate from these terms.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Brazilian law. For anything not resolved through contato@agavus.io, the courts of Brasília, Federal District, are chosen, unless a legal rule guarantees you another forum.
10. Changes and versions
Relevant changes are published on this page with a new version and date. Continuing to use the site after that means accepting the new version; anyone on the list can leave at any time through the privacy policy's channel.
